UNDSS UN Department of Safety and Security Geneva The following is a brief presentation which aims to outline and explain your access rights as a retired staff member and the procedures to be followed to obtain Courtesy and Vehicle identification. YOUR SAFETY, YOUR SECURITY, OUR PRIORITY Courtesy Pass Procedures and Access to the UNOG and it’s direct Annexes - UNHCR, OHCHR, ITC (issued by ITC) Required Justification/Documents for the issue of a Courtesy Pass • Final Clearance Form or Emailed clearance • Attestation from the UNJSPF • Copy of Last Pension Statement The Courtesy Pass ® is issued for a five (5) years period and may be renewed. YOUR SAFETY, YOUR SECURITY, OUR PRIORITY Spouse/partner and Access to the UNOG Courtesy Pass Procedures Required Justification/Documents for the issue of a Courtesy « Family » Pass • Retired staff member's presence. • Attestation from the UNJSPF – Retireed Staff member • Copy of Last Pension Statement – Staff Member The Courtesy Pass is issued for a two (2) years period and may be renewed, and ONLY to spouses of retired staff (not to other dependents). YOUR SAFETY, YOUR SECURITY, OUR PRIORITY Retirement and Access to the UNOG Other based Geneva Organisations recognized by UN Pension Fund. • Daily badge at Pregny Gate Building. • Appointement confirmation from other UN entities ( MEC/UNFCU) to delivery the daily badge is necessary. Access to the UNOG by Car NEW PROCEDUERS - Retires from other organizations based in Geneva do not have access by vehicle. - Retirees from UN and retirees from AFP’s (Agencies Funds and Programs) Who wish to come to the UNOG (Palais) by car will have to apply for a day pass, which will depend on the number of parking spaces available at the time. However, access may be denied for operational or emergency reasons.

Access to the UNOG by Car NEW RESTRICTIONS DUE TO SHP/SECURITY Due to ongoing work for the Strategic Heritage Plan (SHP) and the loss of over 400 parking spaces, the UNOG Administration has issue new guidelines for parking for retired UN staff that greatly limits access of vehicles to the Palais des Nations. Access to the UNOG by Car NEW RESTRICTIONS DUE TO SHP/SECURITY The Administration suggests that retired staff use public transport when ever possible, when coming to the Palais des Nations, due to the limited parking spaces available. PLEASE USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Access to the UNOG NEW PROCEDURES UNOG and it’s direct Annexes UNHCR and OHCHR The disable authorization MUST be provided with the vehicle registration documents (Carte Gris) and a valid UNOG badge to receive the parking authorization, - Valid for one (1) year or the date on the badge, which ever is shortest.
