SAT Suite of Assessments
What Are My Scores? Scores for the assessments in the SAT® Suite are vertically equated.
What Are My Score Percentiles? Percentiles and benchmarks are provided for 10 th and 11 th grades on the PSAT/NMSQT®.
What Is My Question-Level Feedback?
What Is the National Merit Scholarship Program? ® Selection Index scores are calculated by doubling the sum of the Reading, the Writing and Language, and the Math test scores. If there is an asterisk after the number, it indicates the student is not eligible for the competition during that test administration.
National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Students: In late September, more than two-thirds of the high scorers will be designated “Commended Students” based on the Selection Index qualifying score that may vary from year to year. Semifinalists: In early September, 16, 000 of the high scorers will be notified. They are eligible to advance for National Merit Scholarships that will be offered the following year. Finalists: In February, 15, 000 students who meet academic and other requirements will be notified that they have advanced to Finalists standing. All Merit Scholar awardees will be chosen from this group of Finalists based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments.

Next year’s Juniors should begin practicing for the SAT and sign-up for the free SAT School Day administration • Sign-up beings in November • Administration is the following March Sign-up for Alvin ISD’s SAT/ACT practice sessions. • Typically on a Saturday, two weeks prior to the test and given at one of the three high school campuses
