Presenting your practical artwork Candidates can present their practical artwork in a number of ways: w The overall minimum size for practical work is 8 singlesided A 1 sheets (or equivalent). w The overall maximum size for practical work is 16 single -sided A 1 sheets (or equivalent). w Sketchbooks are included in the overall allocation. w 3 D work is included in the overall allocation. w Evaluation template must be attached to the first sheet. w If practical artwork exceeds the maximum, a penalty is applied.

Contextual analysis w Candidates must produce a contextual analysis by selecting a single artwork with a clear connection to their practical expressive artwork and discuss the impact of related contexts through analysing the features of the artwork – the term ‘artwork’ can be interpreted in its broadest sense and may be a group of closely related works w The contextual analysis has a maximum of 2, 000 words. If the word count exceeds the maximum by more than 10%, a penalty is applied.
