*Expression Changing your voice at punctuation marks Changing your voice to show a character’s feelings
Character’s Feelings When a character is sad, your voice may sound sad. When a character is excited, your voice should sound excited. Think about how the characters are feeling to make your voice sound like the character.
*Accuracy Decoding correctly. Decoding the words is sounding out and saying the words the right way.
*Rate is: Reading “just the right speed” for the text

Punctuation Marks Comma – means to pause while reading Period- means to come to a full stop “Sam, come here. ”
Punctuation Marks Question mark – means voice goes higher at the end of the question Do you like chocolate? Exclamation mark – make voice sound excited Watch out!
