Extension Activities Look at some maps of your local area, state, and country. See if you can find a type of grid (coordinate plane) on them. If you don’t have any paper maps, you can also do an internet search (images) on maps with grids. http: //www. maps. com/map. aspx? pid=7298

Extension Activities Divide your classroom into 4 quadrants (or do this outside). Label each quadrant as I, III, and IV (like the coordinate plane). One person is “it”. They close their eyes and count to 10. Everyone else quietly picks a quadrant to stand in. Without opening their eyes, the “it” person calls out a quadrant. All of those people are out. Play continues until only 1 person is left.
