UNCLASSIFIED // FOUO Personnel Honor Detail (HD) • The HD Lead is in charge of all personnel participating in the transfer and is responsible for briefing them on their duties and the proper method of carrying the transfer case. All commands will come from the HD Lead. • Only uniformed military personnel will make up the HD. • Uniform for HD personnel. • Headgear will not be worn on the flight line. • Sleeves will be down during DT. • Sunglasses are not authorized. • Remove reflective belts, while in formation only. Non-Uniformed Personnel Non-uniformed personnel (civilian or military) may stand in the last element (back rank) and should not be a part of the HD (EXCEPTION: if there are insufficient uniformed military personnel to perform the task). UNCLASSIFIED // FOUO Support Personnel Case Transfer Team (TT): • Will consist of six assigned personnel. • Members will be trained prior to the transfer by the SNCOIC or the HD Lead. • One member will be designated as the Transfer Team Lead (TTL) and will call the commands of execution. The TTL is positioned at the blue field on the flag. Chaplain • The Chaplain’s duties/responsibilities are providing the prayer and providing spiritual support to those participating in the DT. • The Chaplain has no command authority and does not direct the DT Process. • The Chaplain is notified of changes by SNCOIC as needed of all transfers and updates. • If time permits will ensure a Chaplain is present at DT. UNCLASSIFIED // FOUO General Commands • Participants are formed up behind the TMEP vehicle and signal is given by the Honor Detail Lead to start the DT process. • The HD Lead will call “AREA ATTENTION” to start the transfer process and is the cue to for the TT to proceed to the TMEP vehicle or Aircraft. • The HD lead will call “PRESENT ARMS” as the transfer case is removed from the TMEP vehicle or aircraft and is moving past the formation. • The command “ORDER ARMS" will be given by the HD lead once the transfer case has passed and is loaded on the TMEP vehicle or aircraft. The TT after loading the transfer case into the TMEP vehicle or aircraft will render a slow 3 second salute at the direction of the TT lead. • The command "HONOR DETAIL, DISMISSED" will be given when the last transfer case is loaded. UNCLASSIFIED // FOUO Order of Operations • Vehicle positioned near the ramp of aircraft. • TT will form up behind truck facing the aircraft ramp. • TT and HD participants will be at parade rest until HD Lead gives the command “AREA ATTENTION”. • If present, Chaplain and SNCOIC will board aircraft. If Chaplain is not present then SNCOIC will stay in HD formation. UNCLASSIFIED // FOUO DT from Vehicle to Aircraft 1 of 2 TT Lead: • TT will position near Vehicle where the HR is in at parade rest • TT Lead will give the command “Attention” to TT and will face the rear of Vehicle • TT will get a hold of transfer case until all personal has control of transfer case. • TT Lead will give command “READY CENTER” and TT will march into the aircraft. • TT will halt at their designated positions (no command will be given to halt). • TT Lead will give the command “PREPARE TO LOWER” lower once transfer case is lowered TT will come back at attention as one unit. • “READY CENTER” (TT faces each other). • TT Lead will give the command “PRESENT ARMS” followed by “ORDER ARMS” • “ADJUST” (if necessary). • TT will go to position of prayer (parade rest position with hands in front) • After prayer is finished TT Lead will give command “ATTENTION”. • “READY FACE” (face towards exit). • “READY STEP” (proceed to TMEP vehicle). UNCLASSIFIED // FOUO DT from Vehicle to Aircraft 2 of 2 HD Lead: • Once transfer case or TT is in peripheral vision give command “PRESENT ARMS”. • “ORDER ARMS” once transfer case passes line of sight. TT Lead: TT will halt (no command) at their designated positions behind the vehicle. “READY CENTER” “Prepare to Lift, LIFT”, person at the counter corner position from the union will fall out of formation after releasing handles to help push the case into the vehicle and will return to formation. • “READY FACE” (commanded once TT assist member is back in formation, TT will face case). • “PRESENT ARMS” (3 second movement, hold salute for 10 seconds). • “ORDER ARMS” (after holding salute for 10 seconds, 3 second movement). • • • HD Lead: • “AREA DISMISSED” (commanded after TT orders arms).
