Growing Pains…. ● In 2017, Jordan’s Principle grew substantially and there was no community organizations able to cash manage large amounts of money. ● In 2018, we collaborated with the regional focal points and completed a financial projection based on services approved in 2017. We then submitted a proposal to ISC for a full-time finance administrator. ● Our tribal organization agreed to cash manage SARF for our clients.
Advantages to Financial Administration ● Staff can concentrate on servicing families ● Our organization can easily track expenditures ● Manages the contracts for vendors and service providers ● Manages all payments to families ( respite, transportation, medical, etc. )
Database ● RAD Data Solutions in New Brunswick customized a database specifically for Jordan’s Principle. ● The database tracks all services for clients in Unama’ki. ● Provides reports on expenditures, types of services and cross reference by gender/age. ● Allows for digital filing of intakes, recommendations and support letters. ● Managed and updated by RAD Data Solutions ( housed on a confidential server).
Procurement ● Safe and Sound Mobility Solutions private vendor company. ● Utilizes recommendations from professionals to source the proper supports/equipment for clients. ● Finds the best prices and the best product ● Consults with families ( goes to families homes to set-up products and necessary training). ● Keeps a stock of products for families to try prior to ordering. ● Liaises with service providers.
