Rules and Regulation • CENTCOM Regulation 638 -1 dated 6 Feb 13, – Ramp ceremonies will only occur in conjunction with the departure of Human Remains (HR) from MACP or Theater Mortuary Evacuation Point (TMEP). • JTF-3 will hold Ramp Ceremonies between the hours of 0600 hrs 2200 hrs and Dignified Transfer between the hours of 2200 hrs-0600 hrs, both in conjunction of the Mission Flight. • If not a JTF-3 unit (i. e. SOF) Fallen, the unit in which the Fallen is from has the lead for the ceremony. JTF-3 is able to send representation to the ceremony as other units. If the unit needs “technical assistance, advise and/or training to conduct the ceremony JTF-3 may provide an NCO for that task. UNCLASS//FOUO 15

After colors halt, chaplain does an about face facing the VIP’s and center behind the colors. • The Pallbearer NCOIC lowers salute and call the pallbearers to “Order, Arms. ” The Pallbearer NCOIC commands, “Ready, Step” two soldiers from the end will move in to grab hero case. • A series of 4 commands of “Ready, Pull” until hero case has been removed from the back of the MAXXPRO. The Pallbearer NCOIC command “Ready, Step” bearers step away from MAXXPRO and automatically lowers hero case. Two soldiers initiated the grab will break away. VICs UNCLASS//FOUO 32
