Types of Triangles 1 Types by angle i
Types of Triangles 1) Types by angle : i) Acute angled triangle: If all angles of a triangle are acute angles then the triangle is called an acute angle triangle. ii) Right angled triangle: If one angle of a triangle is a right angle, then that triangle is a right angled triangle or a right triangle.
iii) Obtuse angled triangle: A triangle with one obtuse angle is called an obtuse angled triangle. 2) Types by sides : i) Equilateral triangle : If the lengths of all the three sides of a triangle are equal, the triangle is called an Equilateral triangle.
ii) Isosceles Triangle: If the lengths of two sides of a triangle are equal, then such a triangle is called an Isosceles Triangle. iii) Scalene Triangle : A triangle with all three sides of different lengths is called a scalene Triangle.
3) Types by both angles and sides: i) An acute angled isosceles triangle: ii) A right angled isosceles triangle:
iii) An obtuse angled isosceles triangle:
Find the product of ‘a’ and ‘c’ Find two factors of the product ‘ac’ such that their algebraic sum is b. Suppose that two factors are p and q. Express the middle term ‘bx’ as px+qx.
Ac = 2 x -6 = -12 -x = -4 x + 3 x (-4) x (+3) = -12 2 x (x-2) +3 (x-2) =(x-2)(2 x + 3)
