Definition of “Aggressive” • According to Merriam Webster: – ready or likely to attack or confront; characterized by or resulting from aggression. • Synonyms include: – Combative – Contentious – Destructive – Threatening

Reasons People Show Aggression • They are… – Some people are aggressive because they are insecure – Aggression is similar to showing off – What are other reasons? • Types of Agression – Forceful and Direct – Passive

Conclusions • Is being aggressive good? – Yes, just remember, in general assertive people employ the use of respect within their direct style with the added touch of courtesy. The assertive style uses empathy as a tool of connectivity which makes them easier to talk to and approach. The problem is when you cross the line into being aggressive and some people might see it as aggression.
