Announcements The announcements displayed on this page are maintained in the SIS at both the district and campus level.
Settings To access any of the Settings pages, click on the Settings tab to display this menu or use the links in the sub-menu.
Update Profile This page allows the teacher to change their password or PIN, update Hint Questions or enter their phone number, e-mail address and a note for parents to view in tx. Connect. Note, the option to combine courses for attendance posting. By checking this box, coursesections that meet the same period of the day will be grouped together on the Post/View Attendance page.
Profile - Student Order Allows teachers to customizes student order. Teacher’s can select whether new students should appear at the top or bottom of the list. Alpha order is the default.
Administer Categories Percentage – weights must total 100%. Point – the total will initially be zero and will increment automatically as assignments are added to the category. Multiplier – allows the teacher to designate how many times a group of assignments will be counted towards the average. Color Coding of Categories Click on the link to open Copy Categories option
Copy Categories • Once you save categories for a course you can copy these categories to other course sections. • The category color-coding is also copied. • You can not copy the categories to another course that already has assignments. Those courses will have a grayed out check box. • All categories for a course must be copied as a group to the other course.
Administer Assignments This page allows the teacher to build the assignments that will be administered for the selected course-section. By checking the Extra Credit box, the assignment can only help the student’s grade. A teacher may also enter an assignment note which can be viewed in tx. Connect.
Administer Assignments Notes are viewable in tx. Connect. Once you add the note by clicking ‘OK’ the note icon will turn yellow. To save the note you must enter your pin number and click SAVE.
Copy Assignments Under Assignments to copy, all assignments for the selected course are displayed. You can select specific assignments, or you can select Check all Assignments.
Course Note Allows you to add, update, or delete optional comments and notes about our course, such as reminders, announcements, or other courserelated information. If entered, the comments are viewable in tx. Connect.
Seating Chart Setup The Seating Chart Setup page allows you to create and maintain seating charts for all of your classes. The seating chart lists the student name, gender, and ID and photos if available. The seats are colorcoded by gender. Student seats can be rearranged at any time.
Student Group Manager By clicking on the magnifying glass, you can add and remove students from your group. ➢This page allows you to create and maintain groups of students for reporting purposes. The student groups can be campus-wide and are not limited to a particular course section. ➢Teachers are given access in the SIS. They can be given (1) No access (2) Course-wide access or (3) Campus-wide access ➢Group Reports that are available to run for your groups are listed.
Student Group Manager For teachers and administrative users who have access to create campus-wide groups, the search retrieves students from across the campus. For all other users, the search retrieves only students in any of their classes.
Post/View Attendance On this page, the teacher may post attendance for a given period or view attendance that has already been posted.
Post/View Attendance Once posted in the grade book, attendance must be changed in the SIS by the Attendance Clerk.
Student Information Throughout the application, the teacher may have the opportunity to click on the student ID to display additional student information.
Contact Information If an e-mail address exists for the contact, you can click the contact's name to send an e-mail message to the contact

Grades To access any of the Grades pages, click on the Grades tab to display this menu or use the links in the sub-menu.
Assignment Grades This page allows the teacher to enter student assignment grades. The page may be populated using multiple selection criteria, including students withdrawn from the course.
Assignment Grades A red ‘T’ represents a Transfer Walk-In Average. Once a weight is assigned to the grade, the icon will remain blue for the remainder of the cycle. This grade will be factored into the student’s working cycle average. Assignments due before the student enters the course are automatically excluded from the cycle average.
Assignment Grades An orange note labels an assignment as a redo or late. Comments may be added at the assignment level and may be selected to print on the IPR. A red note represents an assignment that has been excluded from the student’s working cycle average. An ‘X’ can be typed in the assignment grade field for any grade you want to exclude. If you type an ‘X’ you do not have to click the note icon and select ‘Exclude’ from the Grade Properties dialog box.
Assignment Grades The tx. Gradebook also supports Incomplete and Missing assignment grades. A Missing (M) assignment will count as a zero while and Incomplete (I) will make any averages incomplete until a grade is entered.
Assignment Grades The teacher also has the option to exclude an assignment for all students or auto-fill the assignment with a specific grade. To save changes made on the assignment grades page, the teacher must enter their PIN and click Save Grades. If the campus has disabled posting of grades for prior cycles in the SIS than the ‘Save Grades’ button is disabled.
Cycle Grades The link below is used to make grades ready to post into the SIS. This area displays information that will be posted into the SIS.

IPR Comments This page allows the teacher to assign comments to display on the student IPR.

Print IPR By entering an average in the field below and clicking Select, the list to choose from will be condensed. This page gives the teacher several options for printing IPRs.

Print IPR by Average This page allows the teacher to select students for which to print IPRs from all classes taught.

Blank/Missing Report This report will show the teacher which students have blank/missing/incomplete assignment grades for the selected course.

Cycle Grade Range Report This report will show the teacher a list of students with a working cycle average that falls within a specific grade range.

Attendance Verification Report The Attendance Verification Report Selection page allows teachers to produce a report showing attendance for all students for a selected course section and date range. Teachers can view data for up to one semester. Teachers can also generate a summary report that displays only totals for the selected date range.

Administrator Options A district administrative user may choose which campus and teacher grade book to access, while the campus administrative user may only select the teacher. The Synchronize Data button should be used to update the settings defined in the SIS Grade Reporting and Attendance headers.
