In this session we will look at…

Step 1 Add an horizon line ½ from the top of the page.

Step 2 Add two vanishing point on the horizon line 1 cm from both edges of the page.

Step 3 Add one cross at the top of the page (for the top of your building) and another at the bottom of the page.

Step 4 Join both points previously drawn together with a straight line.

Step 5 Join both points previously drawn together with a straight line.

Step 6 Join all four crosses with a straight line.

Step 7 Add two diagonal lines either side of the central line. The location of the lines depend on your own preference.

Step 8 Add two diagonal lines either side of the central line. The location of the lines depend on your own preference.

Step 9 Add details like windows and doors by using the vanishing points as a guide.

Step 10 Add vertical lines to create the shape of the windows/doors.

Step 11 Try adding buildings/towers that are an unusual shape. Next! Take a photograph of a street view and draw it using this technique of two point perspective drawing Add more buildings or towers by returning back to step 11 Try changing the location of the vanishing points to achieve a different view point (refer back to step 2) Erase all the guidelines from the vanishing point, apart from the horizon line and the building.
