I would not have, but I can see how it makes sense. When I think of a physical conflict, I think more of people actually fighting. Bottom Layer of Bread: Explanation/Analysis Statements -makes the connection to the significance of the quote EXPLICIT -connects the quote to the writer’s own ideas/points *necessary even if your quote seems self explanatory!
