Problem Description • This example models two cylinders using thin shells. Initially, one cylinder lies inside another cylinder. Then, the inner tube starts to bend while the other is outer tube is fixed. The effect of buckling is demonstrated as a result of bending. The outer tube is made of an orthotropic material; the inner, slotted-off tube is made of a composite laminate experiencing local buckling. 3
