Convocation at Trent In 2016 for the first time in Trent’s history there was a separate ceremony for Trent University Durham in the Durham region. This sub-committee will only deal with the Peterborough ceremonies. There will be a committee in Durham to look at that ceremony.

Trent makes it easy to attend Convocation Trent only holds one set of Convocation ceremonies in June of each year. Students that graduate in the fall, January and spring are encouraged to attend and will have their name in the program To graduate, students MUST complete the APPLICATION TO GRADUATE. Once approved you will receive a confirmation from the Registrar’s Office. If you have a joint major or are a Durham student, choose your graduation group carefully – this will indicate which ceremony you would like to attend Ceremonies are divided by department/program. Pre-Convocation Apply to Graduate by April 5, 2019 If you (or your family) would like photos, have them taken at Miranda Studios by March 30 to be included in the Trent Annual Yearbook, and by April 30 to be included in the composite photos that hang on the walls of the colleges Review the information on the Convocation web site Suggest and vote on a song to hear as the ceremonies end Contact convocation@trentu. ca if you have any questions, concerns or accessibility requests

Convocation Day Arrive at the STUDENT CENTRE (TSC) 1 ½ hours before your ceremony Check in and show your student card. You will receive a reader card. Please write your name phonetically and hang on to it! This is how your name is read by the Dean on stage Pick up a Trent green gown and the hood that represents your degree - they MUST be returned after the ceremony You will be lined up in alphabetical order by degree on the second floor of the TSC, and will receive a bottle of cold water The STUDENT PROCESSION is piped onto the University Court (Bata podium) followed by the ACADEMIC PROCESSION with the President, Chancellor, guests and faculty in regalia

There is a covered area at bridge level, which provides a beautiful, sweeping view of the ceremonies If the ceremony is moved guests will be directed to the Gym
