PCB - TEST ROUTINE 1 - TEST Transregional Sales ROUTINE Pre - Condition: a) Washer must be empty; b) Remove Multi-Dispenser Compartment or keep it half-open in order to evaluate which Valve is being operated; c) Remove the Power Plug from the Electric Supply and wait 5 seconds, subsequently plug it again Note: All leds have been switched on and off, now, you have 5 seconds to enter the test routine d) Press the TYPE OF CLOTHES key along with the ON/OFF key until all of WATER LEVEL leds light up and ON led (above of Start – Pause key) will remain blinking, otherwise, the routine was not accepted.
3 - Washer functions testing. Transregional Sales e) With the lid closed, press the TYPE OF CLOTHES key once; The Electronic Control will activate Valve 1 (Bleach and Soap I). Wait until the LOW WATER LEVEL led is lit, and valve 1 will be deactivated; f) Press TYPE OF CLOTHES again and the Electronic Control will activate Valve 2. Wait until the MEDIUM WATER LEVEL led is lit, and Valve 2 (Soap II) will be deactivated; g) Press TYPE OF CLOTHES once more and Valve 3 (softener) will be activated. Wait until the HIGH WATER LEVEL led is lit; h) Press TYPE OF CLOTHES once again and the agitation process will be started; i) Press TYPE OF CLOTHES once more. The agitation will stop and the drainage will start. Wait until the drainage operation is concluded. One minute after the visible water draining, the Washer will start the spinning cycle; j) Press TYPE OF CLOTHES or ON – OFF key to leave the test routine;
COMPONENTS TESTS 1 - Inlet Valve Transregional Sales Valve assembly has 3 water inlet Valves: Bleach and soap I are released by Valve I Soap II is released by Valve II and Softener is released by Valve III. Test: Bleach + Soap I Inlet Valve I Soap II Softener Inlet Valve III 1. Check if the water is entering the Washer, even with it is unplugged to the electric supply. If Yes, Valve has "direct opening” and must be replaced; 2. Check if there is dirt in Valve Filter. Clean it only with a toothbrush or brush. Never remove or damage the filter. 3. Disconnect Wiring Harness; 4. Check continuity between terminals on each Valve;
2 - Pressure Switch Transregional Sales These Washers have: 3 Water Levels Identification by Electronic Control occurs as follows: Pressure switch closes contacts for each selected level; Those levels are called as "A" level. For each "A" level selected, the Electronic Control add approximately 5 water liters (depending on the filling time of each A Level), producing a new level, which we will call "B" level.
Level reference: Transregional Sales We identify below, for each Pressure Switch level, a height reference for water in basket. The reference adopted is the hole row covered by water. These references are approximate and small variations can occur depending on each case. High Level: 8 hole rows covered by water within basket. Level Medium Level: 5 hole rows covered by water within basket. Low Level: 2 hole rows covered by water within basket.
Pressure switch identification: Pressure Switch with Yellow Label - WWF 24 A Transregional Sales Note: Pressure switch, with others colors sticker label, can not be used in these models In order to test pressure switch, just measure continuity between terminals described below; the results for each measurement must be as described:
3 - Brake Actuator TEST 1. Disconnect Wiring Harness terminals on Actuator; 2. . With a Multimeter set in Resistance scale, measure actuator terminals: Before changing Actuator check: 1 - Continuity on Wiring Harness; 2 - That there are no burrs causing locking between gears by moving Actuator arm several times to eliminate them. 3 - That Brake Spring, Cams and Traction Bar maintain traction over Actuator during Agitation. Transregional Sales
4 - Motor 1/3 HP - WWF 24 TEST 1. Disconnect Wiring Harness; 2. Check continuity between terminals, as follows; Transregional Sales
5 - Capacitor In order to test Capacitor, discharge it by shortcircuiting its terminals by a screwdriver with insulating handle. Connect an Ohmmeter in Rx 100 scale to Capacitor terminals. Pointer should move towards ''0'' reading in scale and then return towards ''infinite''. Transregional Sales
6 - Drainage Electric Pump TEST With a Multimeter set in resistance scale, measure continuity at component terminals: Before changing Electrical Pump check: - Continuity on Wiring Harness; - Wiring Harness is connected correctly; - If it is clogging or locked by foreign objects. Transregional Sales
7 - Electronic Control (PCB) Transregional Sales Is responsible for monitoring the execution of programs and switch on/off some components. It has a specific test routine that you can see: item “PCB - Test Routine”:
8 - Lid Switch TEST In resistance scale, you must check the continuity between its terminals. Continuity must be present with rod pressed (Lid closed), and not present with rod free. Open and close the Lid several times with Micro Switch within its housing. No intermittence must be present. Before changing Micro Switch check: Continuity on Wiring Harness; Its correct position within housing related to Lid; Make a visual inspection on Micro Switch. Plastic knob should not be loose and plastic lid should not be melted. Transregional Sales
