Transitioning to Secondary School

Introduction: • I know this isn’t how you pictured your last year in Scoil Mhuire gan Smál and even though it’s disappointing you still have a lot to look forward to this summer moving on to secondary school. • Changing school should be exciting but you might also feel a little bit nervous. It will involve lots of changes and new experiences.

Introduction • Over the next few weeks we will be thinking about these changes and working together to hopefully explain a lot about secondary school and answer some of your questions as well as help to prepare you for all the changes.

Introduction • There is probably lots of information you know already about your new school. Maybe there are some things you have to find out, you could ask your parents, an older sibling that attends the school or check the school website. • For the following activities you can print out the pages to fill them in or copy them down from the presentation.
