What You Can Do With Your Child at Home Talk about the Learner Profile Attributes and Attitudes Students will strive to be: • Courageous • Inquirer • Knowledgeable • Persistence Remember: • Students cannot be on school grounds before 8: 00 am (unless they are in an AM club) due to the lack of supervision. • (Learner Profile attributes show who we are on the inside) Students should demonstrate: • -Courageous • Inquirer • Knowledgeable October 2 nd- 1 st Quarter Ends • October 12 th – 16 th NO SCHOOL for students • October 13 th Parent Teacher Conferences • October 26 th- 30 th Safety Week • November 13 th Progress Reports Go Home • November 23 rd -27 th Thanksgiving Break • Persistence (Attitudes are what we show the world through our actions) Success Criteria for This Unit Students will know: • Who were the people that settled in the Pikes Peak region? Why did they come and how did they affect the region? Is their influence still present today? If so, in what ways? • How is a region similar and different to other regions? Students will understand that people influence the region where they settle.
