TRAIN LOAD CONDITIONS Definition: Train load consignment means a consignment carried at train load class rate, as notified by central government from time to time. Features: • It is bulk movement of consignment. • Entire consignment is booked from one forwarding station to one destination. • Booking of goods to two points and multi points is also permitted to notified stations. • High priority is given in the supply of wagons. • This rate is cheaper, when compared to wagon load rate.

TRAIN LOAD CONDITIONS Conditions for acceptance of trainload consignments: • Trainload class rate is quoted in the goods tariff, general classification of goods for all commodities. • Consignors should place an indent for the full number of wagons of a standard rake as indicated in the list. • Train load class rate shall be granted – When full standard rake has been supplied by the railways, and consignor loads all the wagons of the standard rake, or – When the railway administration has failed to supply the full standard rake, the consignor loads at least the minimum number of wagons specified in the list.

Part cancellation of full trainload indents will not be permitted. The consignor will have to load all the fit wagons supplied against full rake indents.

TRAIN LOAD CONDITIONS Documentation: • “Said to contain” RR should be issued when loading is not supervised by railways. • Rounding of freight charges should be done separately for each RR to the next rupee. • One RR may be issued, for as many number of wagons as possible, or a maximum of 12 RRs per bogie wagon and for every additional RR issued per wagon an amount of Rs. 100/- is collected. • When more than one RR is issued, a remark should be passed on each RR as given below; “Invoice no. ___ to ___ is clubbed to avail trainload benefit” • A remark “trainload conditions complied with” should be passed on all the RR’s
