GONDS v. The Gonds are among the largest tribal groups in South Asia and perhaps the world, being spread widely out to Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh (UP). v The term Gond refers to tribal people who live all over India’s Deccan Peninsula. Most describe themselves as Gond(hill people) or as Koi or Koitur. v Scholars believe Gonds settled in Gondawana, now known as eastern Madhya Pradesh, between the 19 th and 13 th centuries AD. v. Muslim writers describe a rise of Gond States after the 14 th century. Gond dynasties ruled in four kingdoms (Gartha - Mandha , Deogarth , Chanda and Kerla) in central India between the 16 th and mid 18 th century.
GOND CLOTHING v. Gond men typically wear the dhoti, or loincloth v. The dhoti is a long piece of white cotton cloth wrapped around the waist and then tucked into the waist.
FESTIVALS and DANCE v. There are so many festivals that takes place in Gonds but thr most important festivals of the Gonds is kespular jartha. In thr Kespular. v. Madai is another major festval celebrated when Gonds meet their relatives setteled in various parts of the country. v During this festival they also sacrifice goat beneath the sacred village tree. In the night they enjoy liquior and dance along with thr tribal music.

CLOTHES v Traditional male dresses of Scotland consists of a kilt, a sporran , a kilt hose, and traditional shoes called ghillies. v Traditional dresses for females consists of a tartan skirt , a tartan sash or shawl , and also ghillies.
