A: Clint Eastwood B: Sylvester Stallone C: Arnold Schwarzenegger D: Vin Diesel D: Thin Lizzy 7. What is the standard pop-song format? Intro, verse, chorus, bridge / solo, chorus, ending. 8. What is meant by tempo? Tempo is the pace at which a song is played usually measured in beats per minute. 9. Why was drummer Brad Wilk such an appropriate replacement for Bill Ward on the Black Sabbath Album titled Thirteen? Brad Wilk has a very Black Sabbath feel to the way he plays drums and this is evident on the albums he played with Audioslave and even the albums he played with Rage Against the Machine. 10. Why do live performances seem to always be faster than studio recordings? A normal physiological response to live music is for the body to produce more adrenaline, which in turn makes everything to just want to go faster. It takes a lot of discipline to keep the tempos locked in steady without speeding up too much; hence, yet another reason why Brad Wilk was such a great replacement for Bill Ward. 11. Why does Robert Plant sing “every inch of my love” at the end of the song Whole Lotta Love when Led Zeppelin was an English band they use the metric system over there? Robert Plant’s explanation was that they were trying to reach an American market at that time, so using American terms was more of a marketing ploy. That and “every inch of my love” seemed to flow a lot better than “every centimeter of my love. ” 12. On the inside jacket of AC/DC’s album TNT, hailing from 1975, the bass player appears to be wearing a t-shirt that says: “NO WUCKIN’ FURRIES. ” What does this mean? AC/DC is an Australian band, and No Wuckin’ Furries is simply Australian slang, just a phrase that is used frequently by the people down under.
