Guidelines for Usage • Intensity™ is a trademark of Samsung Telecommunications America, Inc. • The name of the device is: Samsung Intensity™ (with the ™ symbol) • Use of the ™ symbol applies to both the graphic treatment and when the word is written in text. When in text, the superscripted ™ symbol needs to be used on first reference only. All subsequent references do not need the ™ symbol. • Use of Graphic Treatment: –The mobile phone must be referenced as “Samsung Intensity™” in first usage. –Subsequently, it can be “Intensity™” on the same page, without reference to either brand – as long as we have clearly shown it as the Samsung Intensity™ elsewhere in the same ad, and that it has been shown in context of the Samsung name/logo • The name Samsung Intensity™ replaces any model # references • The name “Samsung Intensity™” should be used in conjunction with the Samsung Ellipse logo as demonstrated at the following pages. • The following legal language must be referenced in the legal lines: –Intensity™ is a trademark of Samsung Electronics America, Inc. and is related entities.
Guidelines for Usage • Always initial cap “I” and lower case for the remaining letters, avoid using all caps • Examples for illustrative purpose only: –Headline: Introducing the Samsung Intensity™ available exclusively at Verizon –Sub-headline: The New Samsung Intensity™ –Copy (after the headlines above = ok): “The new Intensity™ is a sleek phone. • For co-branded materials, proper usage will be “Samsung Intensity™ available exclusively at Verizon” • For PR news releases, proper usage will be Samsung Intensity™ throughout the release
Examples of Incorrect Usage • The following are incorrect ways the trademark can be referenced: –“Verizon Intensity™ by Samsung” –“Verizon Intensity” –“Intensity by Verizon” • The use of the Samsung Intensity™ graphic treatment within a sentence is not permitted. When referencing the product name within a sentence, the product name should appear in regular font as part of the copy. –Correct: The Samsung Intensity™ is a sleek device. –Incorrect: The is a sleek device.
