The Problem: In 2004, NCATE stipulated complex reporting requirements on which accreditation for the School of Education was dependent. 1. Ability to track progress of education graduates through phases of the Teacher Education Program. Milestone Summary 2. Ability to report rubric outcomes for multiple benchmarks by the 2006 site visit. ERP Developments: Coppin State University created a set of Milestones and Special Requirement Usages in the People. Soft system. Milestone by Grade Effective Term View Milestone by Status Completion Term View -rules were used to track candidate progress through phases of education program - graded “sub”milestones were developed to track performance on rubrics for the various education benchmarks to support NCATE reporting requirements Milestone Detail Program/Plan Summary ERP Results: The analytical reports satisfied NCATE specifications and demonstrated the ability to generate required data on-demand for timely, accurate, detailed reporting. - PRAXIS II - Portfolio - Essay - Teaching Experience Sample “Sub”milestones: Used to track performance in rubrics guided by Conceptual Framework for NCATE reporting. - Effective Communicator - Reflective Decision Maker - Instructional Leader - Systematic Planner - Evolving Professional ERP Reporting: Complex NCATE reporting requirements incorporated into i. Strategy’s Higher Ed Analytics data warehouse application. A range of reports can be generated using flexible selection criterion that show completion rates and status by program and plan for milestones and rubrics.
