TOY STORY’S PRODUCTION The movie Toy Story is 1995 American computer animated buddy comedy adventure produced by Pixar The script was written by joss whedon based on a story by Lasseter. The film features music by Oscar winner randy newman and it’s executive producer was Steve jobs creator of the Iphone Toy story was one of the very first computer animated movies and was the highest grossing movie on its opening weekend earning a whopping 373 million dollars from a small budget of 30 million.

INFLUEN CE The film was wildly acclaimed by critics praising it as one of the best animated films ever written. The film received three academy award nominations including best original screeanplay, best original story and best original score

LEGACY The movie had a legacy of popularizing the catch phrase “To infinity and Beyond!” and it was even used in Beyonce’s song “single ladies” The movie ispired many different studio’s to use the animation technologies in the products The studio believed the movie was going to solve their problem with toy sale and they were right! The Toy Story 3 animation team shaved their Heads. Several members of the animation team on Toy Story 3 decided to shave their heads early in production in order to get a “clean slate” on the film. The franchise spawned sequels, shows and spin offs including Toy Story 1, 2, 3 and 4 and a show based on the character buzz lightyear.
