Abstract Sustainable tourism is a term that is currently popular in the world tourism community, including in Indonesia. Most of Indonesia's tourist destinations are natural attractions such as beach, mountain, lake, river, and others which are natural resources. The concept of sustainable tourism is part of tourism development because it is sustainable and maintains the environment and local culture. The implementation of sustainable tourism is considered to have a positive impact on the environment, economy and socio-culture. Someone who takes a trip is motivated by several things including Physical or physiological motivation, Cultural motivation, Social motivation or interpersonal motivation, Fantasy motivation or prestige motivation. This research describes how a tourist attraction that has the concept of ecotourism can attract tourists' motivation to visit by implementing the pillars of the sustainable tourism aspect. Tourist attraction has products and services that are needed by tourists in enjoying their tourism activities. Tourist motivation is a psychological factor from someone who appears before deciding where he will visit, which in the end the tourist has a decision to visit. A qualitative approach was used. Direct observation in the research site and in-depth interviews were used to obtain primary data while literature review is used to obtain the secondary data. Introduction The destinations that have shown good progress and results following the implementation of sustainable tourism principles will be rewarded with Indonesia Sustainable Tourism Award (ISTA). In 2019, Dusun Bambu Leisure Park is one of the ISTA nominees and got Green grade for cultural preservation. In addition, in 2020, Dusun Bambu got another award for Urban Sustainable Product from ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award (ASTA) in Brunei Darusallam. Consequently, the researcher has shown great interest in choosing Dusun Bambu as the research site
Methodology This qualitative descriptive research aimed to describe the efforts of Dusun Bambu manager in developing sustainable tourists attractions to attract tourists’ motivation to visit Dusun Bambu. Primary and secondary sources of data were used in this research. Direct observation in the research site and in-depth interview were used to obtain primary data while literature review is used to obtain the secondary data.
Results and Discussion The motivation of tourists to come to visit by getting knowledge and experience in Dusun Bambu Leisure Park based on something interesting. (Guzman, et. al, 2018) the knowledge of tourists’ motivations, their perceptions and their experiences are important for the sustainable management of the tourism. (Prentice, Witt, & Hamer, 1998) their motivations for viewing and in terms of their experiences gained and how these are considered to be beneficial. In terms of the research design, "activities" are in effect defined as motivations rather than as distinct actions.
Dusun Bambu is an ecotourism attraction in form of bamboo conservation with 6 Es concept: education, economic, ethnology, ethic, aesthetic and entertainment With its natural atmosphere, Dusun Bambu is able to attract tourists’ motivation to visit it. (Rahman, et. al, 2017) suggest that future research may also look for the social-cultural, environmental, economic factors of the host countries in their conceptual framework to look more about the management and planning of educational tourism aspects.
Conclusion Sustainable tourism as tourism which fully takes into account the current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, industry, the environment and local communities. Dusun Bambu Leisure Park as a tourist attraction that applies the concept of ecotourism is able to attract tourist motivation to visit.
