The decaying wooden structure was replaced by a brick church, built in 1765. Rebuilt in 1899– 1909 The century-old neogothic red brick church with twin spires, is the highest church in Lithuania with its 79 -metrehigh spires being the first detail the visitors coming to Anykščiai can see.
