Gas system work package 2 gas systems: CSC (T 1) and GEM (T 2) – 2 mixer units (not for 07 startup) – 4 UX distribution units Each endcap 1 rack with 2 distribution units for T 1 and T 2 – Pipe work done by TOTEM and/or Criotec 2 control racks: – 1 in SG and 1 in US for T 1 and T 2 – In SG, each system will have it’s own PLC control User interface in PVSS 07/03/2006 TOTEM Engeneering Design Review S. Comments Mixer Module Both Mixer staged until second year of LHC running. In the first year: – T 1: Gas could be taken from CMS mixer ? (I have contacted Ole. Schedule Production: – All material for 2 distribution racks are at CERN – Assembly will start beginning of February, - finish probably March, delivery > April possible Installation – Cables are procured now (by CMS / Totem) and installed for +Side from May onward – Gas rack installation will start around June – In July, Criotec will install the gas pipes to the UX racks Commissioning – Probably toward the end of 06 (t. b. c. ) 07/03/2006 TOTEM Engeneering Design Review S.
