Then, simply scans the items needed by the shelf/bin label, or by the package label.
The scanned items are displayed on the patient screen, with item # (Mat Code), charge #, quantity, and description.
Items can be credited back to inventory, or charged to a waste account.

Receive in Unit of Purchase, or in Unit of Issue. On-line communication between Buyer, Receiver, Accounting, and Vendor. Receivers access on-line, up to the minute information on Purchase Orders, verify receipts against packing slip, and enter received quantities.
Upon receipt of the product(s), the EHS delivery ticket is printed with a bar coded “license plate”. This “license plate” identifies the items to be delivered, their quantities, and location.
Upon delivery of the product(s), the bar coded ID of the employee accepting the delivery is scanned.
Then the delivery ticket’s bar coded “license plate” is scanned.
This captures the identity of the person accepting the delivery, the items delivered, their quantity, the time, the date, and location. This data is uploaded to the EHS data base for reporting, inquiry, and or analysis.
