U between Pole SCS –TOWL and subsequent cooperation triggered promote international cooperation at cross border scale which Ø is the dimension inducing faster growth of industry/cooperation oriented hi-tech exports (OECD, 2005) Ø Facilitates SMEs cooperation with international partners (SMEs cooperate less than larger firms on international markets) and helps better compensate limited resources of individual SMEs via the enlarged network Ø it contributes to increase attractive factor for inward investments as it preludes to a larger converging market/area by establising structured ways for cooperation Ø it could lead to a cross-country Innovation area build upon respective skills and competences, anticipating potential scale and agglomeration economies thanks to complementarities and relative proximity of poles © Fondazione Torino Wireless 2007

The aims are: Ø Foster cooperation among actors of the District/Pole in sectors such as Intelligent transportation systems, location based services, DVB-H, RF-ID , e.
