Ø Topic--must be agriculturally/Natural Resources related or FFA related. Ø Time— 4 -6 minutes in length. Ø Manuscript--must hand in manuscript that is neatly typed or neatly hand written at time of delivery.
REQUIREMENTS: l A. Title Page: Title By Place Date
b. First page of speech l First page of speech should not have a page number l Should have a 1 inch margin on each side
c. Second page of speech l Should be numbered page 2: l Should have a 1 inch margin top, bottom, and same on both sides.
d. Third page and on l Same as page two.
e. References and Bibliography l Should be a separate page and should be the last page of your speech. l This page should not be numbered. l You must have at least three written References. l Margins Top= 1 inches l Bottom= 1 inch both sides= 1 inch
f. Page numbers l Prefer at the bottom of the page and 1/2 inch from the bottom and also in the center.
Date to be given 1. Student will choose date and must give on chosen date. l 2. Student can change date if another student is willing to trade. This must be determined at least one day in advance and the instructor must know a day prior to the day to be given. l 3. Failure to give speech on chosen date will result in 25% dock in grade. l 4. Those students who choose to give speech early will benefit in grade.
5. Parts of speech l a. Introduction Normally a paragraph long; introduces subject; avoid "Did you know" questions; use creative approach; a story, analogy, etc. are acceptable; use attention getters.

WE WILL BE GIVING PERSUASIVE TYPE SPEECHES THAT ARE PREPARED!
8. Evaluation (Grading) l The grade on the speech will be determined by the following criteria: 1. Time of speech 2. Manuscript (Neatness, if directions are followed, proper spelling, proper punctuation and completeness. )
