Summer Coursework • Check your DARS/What-if DARS for degree requirements • Use degree flowcharts as a reference Talk with advisor if unsure about best choices • Many good online or on-campus options @ UW-Madison Visit summer. wisc. edu to learn more – Enrollment starts March 30. • Make sure off-campus courses count See Advising Updates handout for transfer wizards and Course Equivalency Service. • Indicate summer coursework on planning form Helps advisors understand next semester’s course selections • Be mindful of pace Shorter session = faster pace
Tips for Selecting Fall Courses Deciding between majors? • • • Compare DARS and flowcharts Look for overlapping requirements Talk with an advisor for more guidance Be “in the know” • Read the ENTIRE Advising Updates Handout • See flowcharts for requirements specific to each major, like physics and computer science Plans may change; that’s okay • Enrollment is an ongoing process – You have until the 2 nd week of fall classes to change your schedule • Advisors will be around over summer if you need to discuss schedule changes as a result of progression decisions
