Luke 4: 1 -13 – “I’ll Do It God’s Way” Luke 4: 1 -4 - I’ll Learn from God When Jesus returned from the Jordan River, the power of the Holy Spirit was with him, and the Spirit led him into the desert. 2 For forty days Jesus was tested by the devil, and during that time he went without eating. When it was all over, he was hungry. 3 The devil said to Jesus, “If you are God’s Son, tell this stone to turn into bread. ” 4 Jesus answered, “The Scriptures say, ‘No one can live only on food. ’” CEV

Deuteronomy 8: 3 Don't forget how the LORD your God has led you through the desert for the past forty years. He wanted to find out if you were truly willing to obey him and depend on him, so he made you go hungry. Then he gave you manna, a kind of food that you and your ancestors had never even heard about. The LORD was teaching you that people need more than food to live they need every word that the LORD has spoken. CEV

It’s about having courage to serve God without being afraid of others. Ø It’s not about forcing other people to do things our way. It’s about faithfully doing things God’s way. Ø It’s not about being protected from hardship. It’s about living for God’s in the middle of hardship.
