Tobacco • Tobacco comes from a plant (the tobacco plant), the leaves from the tobacco plant are dried up, then are shredded up, then they are rolled up into cigarettes or cigars. It can be taken in many ways, the most common way is by being smoked, other ways may be chewed, snuffing and extraction of nicotine.
The Effects of Tobacco • • Some of effects of tobacco are: Less oxygen to the brain and the heart. Causes a gum disease. Increases blood pressure. Causes many cancers, especially lung disease. Makes you have a shortness of breath. Gangrene, often loss of limbs. Loss of taste.

What is in a cigarette? • Other than tobacco, a cigarette has much more • • chemicals in it, here are just a few: Ethanol, often in alcohol. Hydrogen cyanide, used in poisons. Acetone, used in nail polish removers. Ammonia, used in floor and toilet cleaners. Nicotine, this contributes by making you addicted. Tar, a sticky brown substance which stains smokers hands and teeth. Carbon monoxide, the main poisonous gas in car exhausts.
