Offerings and Sacrifices Lasting Principles for Today § Sacrifice follows a divine pattern (2 Tim. 1: 13) § Sacrifice has a cost and a price to pay (Mal. 3: 8) § Sacrifice is giving the best to God (Mt. 6: 33) § Sacrifice is personal (Rom. 12: 1 -2) § Sacrifice is a “sweet savor unto God, ” a memorial (Phil. 4: 18)

Offerings and Sacrifices Lasting Principles for Today § Sacrifice is a “communion” with God and one another (1 Cor. 10: 16 -18; 11: 18 -34) § Sacrifice must not be a mere ritual or routine motion, but a heart-felt obedience (1 Sam. 15: 22; Psa. 61: 16 -17; Isa. 1: 10 -20; Mic. 6: 6 -8) § Sacrifice is meant to show total commitment to God, full communion with God, and complete cleansing by God
