Cannon Mission & Vision Mission Statement Cannon Elementary: A GCISD STEM School is to empower each unique learner so that they become real-world problem solvers, creative innovators, life-long learners, reflective thinkers, and empathetic citizens. Vision Statement Through the utilization of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, Cannon Elementary: A GCISD STEM School is instilling the skills of thinking critically, being creative, communicating effectively, and having empathy, in each of our students so that they will become the future problem solvers of the world.

End of YEar Writing Expectations End of year goal stage 4 -6 Ideas The student consistently develops ideas at Stage 4 -5 level of proficiency. Conventions In all first draft writing, the student consistently: ● forms letters legibly ● uses upper and lower cases letters appropriately ● spaces between words ● capitalizes pronoun I Spelling Academic Language In all first draft writing, the student accurately spells: ● using letter-sound knowledge to generate words that require little, if any, interpretation ● kindergarten sight words The student uses academic language to discuss writing decisions, including: ● Vowel ● long vowel ● short vowel consonant

What Is A Standards-Based Report Card?
