Med provides access to bibliographic information which includes MEDLINE as well as: The out-of-scope citations (e. g. , articles on plate tectonics or astrophysics) from certain MEDLINE journals, primarily general science and chemistry journals, for which the life sciences articles are indexed for MEDLINE. p Citations that precede the date that a journal was selected for MEDLINE indexing. p Some additional life science journals that submit full text to Pub. NLM Gateway n TMUL@2009 NLM Gateway p One target audience for the Gateway is the Internet user who is new to NLM's online resources and does not know what information is available there or how best to search for it. This audience may include physicians and other health care providers, researchers, librarians, students, and increasingly, patients, their families, and the public. Other users may find the Gateway useful for an overall search of NLM's information resources. Some searchers may locate what they need immediately, while others will utilize the Gateway as an adjunct tool to other NLM search services such as Pub. Med® and MEDLINEplus®.

NLM Gateway p p p TMUL@2009 MEDLINE® (Medical Literature, Analysis, and Retrieval System Online) is the U. S. National Library of Medicine‘s (NLM) premier bibliographic database that contains over 12 million references to journal articles in life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine. (即Pub. Med) OLDMEDLINE contains citations published in the 1960 through 1965 Cumulated Index Medicus and the 1957 through 1959 Current List of Medical Literature. OLDMEDLINE covers the fields of medicine, preclinical sciences, and allied health sciences. LOCATORplus is the U. S. National Library of Medicine's online catalog, and includes over 800, 000 catalog records for books, audiovisuals, journals, computer files, and other materials in the Library's collections.

NLM Gateway n n MEDLINEplus is the U. S. National Library of Medicine's web site for consumer health information. MEDLINEplus includes over 560 health topics, a medical encyclopedia containing an extensive library of medical images as well as 4, 000 articles about diseases, tests, symptoms, injuries and surgeries, and two sources to more than 9, 000 prescription and over-the-counter medications. Clinical. Trials. gov provides patients, family members and members of the public current information about clinical research studies. It is a registry of clinical trials for both federally and privately funded trials "of experimental treatments for serious or life-threatening diseases or conditions. " TMUL@2009
