TLSR Status Report – March 2019 Overall G = • Schedule G = Scope All issues are being actively managed. • Original R 3 scope went Live internally on November 12, 2018 and externally on November 13, 2018. Deferrals will follow in early June; BLA in June. • Extended Solution Optimization (BLA and Deferrals) is underway. Consumer Use Tax is on hold until legislation informs whether or not this is needed. All TLSR risks and issues are being mitigated Top Highlights/Accomplishments Business, Configuration & Development: ü Continuing processing SQRs for Solution Change requests to address production defects, enhancements, legislative changes, and maintenance fixes. ü Held 16 Configuration sessions for the BLA Optimization project and 3 sessions for the Deferrals Optimization project to clarify and finalize the scope of development effort. ü Deployed 236 SQRs during the month of March. TLSR Risk = Mitigating Actions When the system is under heavy user load, users may experience poor system performance. No issues observed or reported during 2019 annual cycle. Though Wa. Tech SEAP API response times continue to be longer than desired, mitigations taken by DOR have significantly reduced the impact to DOR users. Therefore, this issue will be retired. For some R 3 tax types, job roles are still being determined. Because of the tight timelines, the training material will be developed to demonstrate the steps of the system functionality. This is being monitored through follow-up training. Business Readiness and Training Internal Communication: ü Continued working on the Training Curriculum and plan for the BLA project. ü Completed communication to agency staff for the Refund Transaction Selector button changes. ü Began drafting content for the Manager and Supervisor Briefing and researched best practices for Vlogs, scheduled to be produced by April 10. ü Continued work on the Internal Communication plan for the BLA project and Deferral Extended Optimization work. External Communication and Engagement: ü Usability planning and requirements in progress. ü Completed Communication plan for migration decommission. ü External Communications plan for Deferrals started. Testing: ü Testing completed for City of Friday Harbor on March 6. ü Testing completed for City of Castle Rock on March 15. ü Testing completed for City of Edmonds on March 29. ü Met with scenario writers to support the scenario review/update/prioritization effort. Project Management: ü All charters approved (BLA and Deferrals). ü Project schedules have been base-lined. ü Continued progress on Transition Activities.
