SAC Virtual Meeting • What did we learn or reaffirm? • Hosted a pre-meeting to get comfortable with Zoom and using a translator • Day of three-hour meeting: • Reaffirmed our amazement of the dedication, resiliency, determination and willingness of migrant parents to learn new ways to serve in their capacity. Examples: • One parent was on her phone on listening mode of the SAC meeting while working in the fields planting. She wanted to stay informed. • One parent was in route to a destination while participating in meeting, experienced a flat tire, was disconnected but reconnected within minutes. • One parent kept disconnected 4 or 5 times due to unstable wifi connectivity (person monitoring Waiting Room was ready to readmit, every time). He was very determined in being involved to the best of his capacity Title I Part C Migrant Education Program | 6/5/2020 | 9
