Defining Title 1 Schoolwide Vs. Targeted Assistance ØSchoolwide programs use funds and resources to upgrade the entire educational program of the school in order to raise the academic achievement for all students. ALL BISD TITLE I CAMPUSES HAVE SCHOOLWIDE PROGRAMS. ØTargeted Assistance programs use funds for supplementary educational services only for a small group of identified children who met criteria determined by the school
Title 1 School Requirements ØMeet the purpose of Title I ØSchool must incorporate instructional strategies based on scientifically based research ØImplement parental involvement activities ØSupplement, not supplant other efforts ØDetail in campus improvement plan how Title I funds will be used.
