Titanic – The Passengers Here is a table to show the number of passengers and crew who survived and who were lost.
Eva Hart Eva was 7 years old when she boarded the Titanic with her parents as second-class passengers on 10 th April 1912. They had originally been booked on a ship called the Philadelphia but the coal strike at Southampton that spring kept it from sailing and many of her passengers were transferred to the Titanic.
Eva Hart Eva and her mother were rescued by the Carpathia but sadly her father died. Eva and her mother returned to England. Her mother died when she was 23. When she was 23 she forced herself to go back onto a ship to face her fears as she had nightmares since the disaster. This worked and the nightmares stopped.
Eva Hart Eva has several jobs throughout her life. One being a professional singer in Australia. She was a volunteer during Word War 2 and organised entertainment for the soldiers. Eva Hart died on February 14 th 1996, in London, 2 weeks after her 91 st birthday.
