What is Tiger Assist? Tiger Assist is an on-demand paratransit service for students, faculty, and staff with temporary or permanent mobility impairments offering transportation to and from any on-campus locations. Two 2017 Dodge Caravans with manual wheelchair ramp (5 passenger or 1 passenger + 1 wheelchair)

Service Timeline Fall 2015 – Tiger Assist Service began using Tiger Transit Buses and

Service Timeline Fall 2015 – Tiger Assist Service began using Tiger Transit Buses and Electric Carts Fall 2016 – Tiger Assist Service expanded to using Rental Vans, PATS Explorer and Parking Enforcement Vehicles. Full Time staff member was dedicated to this program 8 hours per day. Feb 2017 – Tiger Assist branded vehicles placed into service March 2017 – David Page assumes responsibility of managing the Tiger Assist program and coordination of student schedules. Fall 2018 – Two vehicles in service become a necessary requirement to manage demand. Service capacity limits become relevant. Spring 2019 – Busiest semester to date. Fall 2019 – Lindsey Marcengill assumes responsibility of the Tiger Assist program

Who is allowed to use Tiger Assist? Any student who is approved by Student

Who is allowed to use Tiger Assist? Any student who is approved by Student Accessibility Services after a review of their medical documentation. Any faculty or staff who is approved by the Office of Access and Equity after a review of their medical documentation.
