Open Response Format Topic Sentence: Uses the language of the question to answer and summarize your paragraph. Title of Article and Author’s name! Background Information: Give the reader an idea of what you are talking about (the topic) Main Point #1 Write a statement that explains your 1 st main point Support #1 Select a quote that directly shows proof of your point
Main Point #2 Support #2 Main Point #3 Support #3 Clincher Statement Wraps up your paragraph. Summarizes your main point, reanswers the question.
