Infield: Jase H, Mozingo, Heuchan, Mozingo 3. Fly Ball: M. Carideo, Weachter, Merritt 4. Hitting: Doug P, Danzi, Wilson, Jon J. , J. Lewis Station Leads: § Be organized / have a plan § Bring your own Ts, equipment and balls (everyone else bring extras) § Less talk, more play § Simultaneous activity—minimize standing around time for players § Stick to the timeline (as best we can) § Continue to recruit volunteers Player Assessments (For Thurs Min A Tryouts): 1. Throwing and Pitching 2. Infield: 3. Flyball 4. Hitting: 3. Fly Ball (Catch & Cutoff) 2. Infield (5 -4 & 6 -4) 1750: Coaches set up stations 1800: Players drop off equipment and Hubbard lines up players between 1 st and 2 nd. Hub divides players into 4 groups and sends them to stations. 4 X station lead coaches take charge of their players and begin calisthenics (10 minutes) ; assign numbers (Thurs) 1805: League officials (or reps) talk to parents behind home plate (star) • Welcome - League values – Expectations 1810: Calisthenics complete/Drills Begin 1) Throwing (Brian Tolberg Drill: High elbow toss, break egg, side throw, power step/throw); kids throw to kids; break off players for pitching assessments 2) Infield: multiple internal stations with coaches receiving throws simultaneously, rotate positions internally (If time allows, include a catcher’s clinic) 3) Fly ball (split into two groups: cutoff and CF) 4) Hitting (wide stance, bend in knees, high hands); Use the Field A RF cages for multiple T-ST-coach pitcher stations (rotate internally) h c oa C Min A: Mon/Tues/Thurs, (wk 10 -14 Sep 12) 1730: Coaches and volunteers meet at Field C for clinic overview and final planning; prep field / maint 2. Infield (4 -3 & 1 -3) Coach 1830/1850/1910: Rotate stations clockwise (1 -2 -3 -4) 1930: Muster players vic. pitcher’s mound for closing comments (league official or rep) / Clinic complete (1930) Co ac h = Cone 4.
