Three levels of Kohlberg theory is divided into three levels which are as follows: 1) The pre conventional level 2) The conventional level 3) The post conventional level all the levels are divided into 6 different stages which are described below 1) The pre conventional level- In this level children judge morality in terms of consequences. They are not yet adopted what is right or wrong. They only judge on the basis of external consequences.

Ø In second stage morality judged in terms of what satisfy others needs and own needs. But in this stage person shows limited interest in the needs of others, they only focused how it might be further one’s own interest. Ø a. b. Ø
Continue…. 2) Conventional level- As child’s age is grow they entre a second level of moral development that is called conventional level. In this level person judge the morality of actions by comparing these actions to societal views and expectations. Ø conventional level divided into two stages a) Good boy- good girl orientation b) Social order maintaining orientation
Continue. . Ø In third stage individuals are receptive of approval or disapproval from other people as it reflects society’s accordance with the perceived role. They try to be a good boy or good girl to live up to these expectations. They judge the morality of an action by evaluating its consequences in terms of a person’s relationship. Ø In forth stage morality judge in terms of social rules or laws applied universally not just to acquaintances. Thus in stage four moral judgment is beyond the need for individual personal needs.
