Local Integration • Third country resettlement or refugee resettlement is, according to the UNHCR, one of three durable solutions for refugees • Resettlement is a good way to achieve solidarity and responsibility sharing. • This involves a refugee finding a permanent home in the country of asylum and integrating into the local community. • Over time the process should lead to permanent residence rights and, in some cases, the earning of citizenship in the country of asylum.
