T standard for the architecture enhancement to support ultra-low complexity, power constrained, and low data-rate 'Internet of Things' devices in R 13. It defines a new CIo. T UE, CIo. T RAN, and an CIo. T CN (EPC). In terms of the CN enhancement, it defines a new functional entities called C-SGN. It defines two mechanisms to transmit data: IP and non-IP. Reference: 3 GPP TR 23720 “Study on architecture enhancements for Cellular Internet of Things”
