THE CHURCH IS MADE UP OF THOSE WHO WERE ONCE LOST, BUT NOW ARE SAVED (2: 1 -10) Ø The condition of those once lost (2: 1 -3) • They were dead in their sins (Is 59: 1 -2) • They lived like the world- driven by their desires (2: 2 -3) • They were by nature children of wrath

Strangers from the covenant and hopeless Ø The reconciliation came from Jesus (2: 13 -14) Ø The consequences of their reconciliation (v. 19 -22) • They had become citizens of the kingdom (2: 19, Col 1: 13 -14) • They became children of God’s household (v. 19)
