� The legend says that the history of ancient Rome began in 754 B. C. , when two brothers Romul and Rem founded a new town in the center of Apennine peninsula, which was called Rome in honour of Romul. So the civilization began and lasted for 6 centeries.

� Art of ancient Rome was closely connected with war. So the Romans were good in the architecture. But most of their works of art were borrowed from Greeks. � And what about science? The ancient Rome is a motherland of jurisprudence which we still use now. The first aqueduct was also built in Rome. And of course the Romans developed mathematics and medicine.

� The ancient Romans were pagans. Their religion was similar to the religion of Greeks. � The supreme god of Romans was Jupiter who commended other gods. There a lot of myths and legends about Roman gods which are very popular nowadays.

� The Roman civilization ended in 5 th century destruction of the Empire. But the meaning of the Roman civilization is so big, that we still use their knowledge. For example, the modern Constitution is based on Roman one. � And of course the architecture. Colliseum, different temples, ancient city Pompei, these places we can see and visit nowadays, and admire how clever the Romans were.
