Tigers • Tigers have striped skin not just striped fur. Stripes are like human fingerprints. No two tigers have the same pattern of stripes. • Tigers use their tails for balance when they run and to communicate with other tigers. • They can see in colour. They can also see in the dark 6 times better than humans can.
Kangaroos • Kangaroos usually have one young annually. Females have a pouch in which babies live and drink milk for 8 months. • They need little water and can go for months without drinking. • They move by hopping. • Kangaroo means “I don’t understand”
• Kangaroos possess powerful hind legs, a long, strong tail, and small front legs. Kangaroos can leap some 9 meters in a single bound, and travel more than 48 km/h. Kangaroos use their strong tails for balance while jumping. • Kangaroos live in Eastern Australia. Newborn joeys are just 2. 5 centimeters long at birth, or about the size of a grape.
• Kangaroos are plant eaters. The eastern gray kangaroo weighs 66 kilograms as an adult and measures 3 meters from nose to tip of tail. The tail alone measures approximately 1 meter long.
Zebras • Each zebra has its unique stripe pattern, like human fingerprints. • Zebra foals can walk just 20 minutes after they are born, and can run after an hour. • Zebras can run at speeds of up to 56 km an hour.

Polar bears • Adult males generally weigh between 363 and 771 kilograms. Adult females often weigh between 227 and 272 kilograms. Males can grow to three meters in length � the height of a one -story building. • Polar bears are the largest predators on land, and they are the largest of all bears. • Polar bears have fur and skin that allow them to absorb sunlight for warmth. Their fat insulates them in cold water. • Polar bears can swim 161 kilometers at a stretch.
Dolphins • Bottlenose dolphins send messages to one another in different ways. They squeak and whistle and use body language— leaping as high as 6 meters in the air, snapping their jaws, slapping their tails on the surface of the water, and even butting heads.
• Bottlenose dolphins may look like fish but they are mammals. They breathe air, just like you do. • These aquatic acrobats are called bottlenose dolphins because their beaks are shaped like bottles. • Beaks are usually 7. 6 centimeters long.
