HSSG as NPO Constitution Registered as NPO. Approved as Public Benefit Organization in terms of Section 18 A(1)(a) and 30 of Income Tax Act. Donations exempt from tax.
Role of HSSG Prevention of stroke Rehabilitation Training of community workers and volunteers
Prevention of stroke Displays in shopping malls and public libraries. Free blood pressure testing. Info given to public about strokes and risk factors. Monthly BP testing at groups
Rehabilitation is a goal orientated and time limited process, aimed at enabling an impaired person reach an optimal level of mental, physical and social functioning, thus providing the person with the tools to improve their lives. The goal of rehabilitation is to enable individuals to return home to their communities with the highest possible level of functional independence and the best quality of life, while at the same time reducing the burden of care on family members and significant others (Western Cape (South Africa).
